About the Role:
The HR Operations Specialist will support the day-to-day operational functions of the Human Resources department, ensuring accuracy in HRIS data, compliance with policies, and efficient processing of employee lifecycle events. This role requires excellent Excel skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for systems, processes, and people operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, or similar systems)
Process employee lifecycle events (onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers)
Ensure HR data integrity and perform regular audits
Generate and analyze reports related to headcount, turnover, compliance, etc.
Support benefits administration and coordinate with vendors as needed
Assist with payroll data processing and liaise with finance/payroll teams
Help develop and document HR processes and SOPs
Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and HR systems
Support HR compliance efforts (e.g., EEO, I-9, audits)
Collaborate with recruiters, HRBPs, and leadership on cross-functional initiatives
Job requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
1-3 years of talent acquisition or recruiting experience (in-house or agency).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas required)
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Paychex, BambooHR, Workday, ADP)
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Salary Range: $60,000-65,000
Salary rates at Innodata vary depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the role, skill set, educational background and geographic location.
