About the role:
As an HR Business Partner (HRBP) you will play a critical role in fostering a fair, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture. You’ll provide guidance on employee relations matters, oversee investigations, ensure legal and policy compliance, and coach managers through complex HR issues. This is a highly collaborative role that supports Innodata’s commitment to high-performance, integrity, and employee well-being. Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on workplace issues, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
Conduct thorough and timely investigations into employee relations matters, including misconduct, harassment, and performance concerns.
Coach people managers on handling complex performance issues, team dynamics, and employee development conversations.
Manage the full performance review cycle, including goal setting, mid-year feedback, and annual evaluations.
Develop and implement performance improvement plans (PIPs) in collaboration with managers and legal, as needed.
Analyze HR metrics related to employee relations, attrition, and engagement to identify trends and recommend solutions.
Guide leaders through organizational changes, restructures, and internal transitions while ensuring clear communication and employee support.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and support internal audits or investigations.
Support the rollout of HR initiatives and policy updates, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal standards.
Collaborate with Total Rewards on compensation planning and employee pay-related matters.
Advise on leave of absence cases including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and return-to-work strategies.
Drive employee engagement efforts through surveys, feedback loops, and follow-up action planning.
Partner with leadership to promote a culture of accountability, fairness, and inclusion.
Support the delivery of internal training on HR policies, performance management, and respectful workplace behavior.
Respond to sensitive employee concerns with discretion, empathy, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Provide guidance during offboarding, exit interviews, and post-termination follow-up when needed.
Job requirements
What we need you to bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s or HR certification (e.g., PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus in employee relations or HRBP work.
Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and managing complex employee issues.
Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to build trust with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
Strong business acumen and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Experience working with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, BambooHR, Workday) is a plus.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $140,000 USD
Salary rates at Innodata vary depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the role, skill set, educational background and geographic location.
